Edgar Chambers

Chambers, Edgar was born in Newport in 1870, and educated at Stow Hill School under E. J. Smith. After leaving school he obtained an appointment with the former Official Receiver in Bankruptcy in this town, with whom he was engaged for a period of ten years. He subsequently commenced to practice on his own account as a public accountant, auditor, &c. He has been for many years a member of the Society of Accountants and Auditors, and, so far as his profession is concerned, he lives the strenuous life, saying that his only recreation is "work."
